A delegate is handed a country and a crisis, and has two days to do something about both.

CedarMUN is a Model United Nations conference held in Beirut. Delegates are assigned a country, brief themselves on its actual position, and then defend that position in committee, negotiating with people who were assigned the governments that disagree.

The work is research, argument, and drafting. Over two days a committee moves from opening speeches through unmoderated negotiation to a written resolution that has to survive a vote.

Five committees

Sudan, Article 5, the Soviet succession, the counterfeit medicine trade, and the institutions that move children across borders. Delegates are assigned a country and argue its position, whether or not they agree with it.
